TEACHERS

Principal: Miss Frances Ann Butler

Miss Fran started dancing at the Valerie Rushby School of Dance at the age of 4, taking classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern.Whilst at the school she competed in many competitions, performed in annual shows at the Civic Theatre, was nominated for a Tap Scholarship in Scotland and has taken all her exams with the BATD.

At the age of 16 Fran assisted teaching the Baby Class and soon realised that she wanted to be a Dance Teacher. She took her first Associate exam in Ballet at the age of 17. She then went on to pass her Associate exams in Tap and also Jazz.

In 2016 Fran passed her Membership exam in Tap. She is now training for her Membership exam in Ballet which she will be taking later on this year. This will allow her to adjudicate at competitions and festivals.

When not teaching Dance, Fran works as a Teaching Assistant at a local Primary School. She has worked with children for 8 years and has a Level 3 diploma in Child Development.

Assistant Teacher: Natalie Canavon

Natalie first started dancing at the Valerie Rushby School of Dance. She was introduced to the world of dance by her Aunite Helen. Natalie has always had a passion for performing and has taken her exams with BATD. She went on to University to study Dance Practice graduated with a 2:1.

In the past Natalie has auditioned for some well known TV series and professional shows such as Britain's Got Talent, XFactor and Grease The Musical. She has also performed with other dance companies at the Theatre in Doncaster. These include Annie and Oliver and Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamboat.

Natalie has over 3 years experience in Teaching and Developing Contemporary Dance and has attended many workshops with various professionals and companies. Contemporary is a genre of dance which Natalie excels at and she hopes to pass on her knowledge and experience to students at FAB School of Dance.

Natalie is lucky enough to share her love of dance with her daughter who attends the Baby Classes.

Natalie is training for her Associate Modern Exam with BATD and will be taking the exam later on this the year.
